Demain, il fera jour.
The clothing brand is the brainchild of David Carette, a Belgian film director and photographer who jumps from one project to the other. Carette has a rich experience as an art director and is known for some big fashion campaigns. His most celebrated campaign is the ‘Always Restless’ with Georgia May Jagger for Mercedes Benz. In 2009 he set up his own creative studio, called ‘Demain, il fera jour’, which means ‘Tomorrow is another day’. The studio is specialised in worldwide creative directing and scenography.
With such a catchy name, the director knew there was more to it, and created a unisex clothing line consisting of sweaters and T-shirts with a printed logo. Carette states that he is by no means a fashion designer, but that he does have a precise eye for details. All fabrics are handpicked, labels are sewn on by hand, ...
The studio's new experience really began when Colette in Paris, Hunting and Collecting in Brussels and Graanmarkt 13 started stocking their items. People all over Europe could easily relate to the brand's identity and to their motto.
Tomorrow is another day, best spent in a piece by "Demain, il fera jour.".
